New House!

Same picture as before, but I thought I'd go ahead and post it again. We closed on our new house today. We'll take possession later this week, and move over the next couple of weeks.

Got any advice for new homeowners?

Great Weekend

We had a great weekend in Eastern Tenn. with the young adult group from our church. We did some white water rafting on the Ocoee River, hung out in Chattanooga (I would have liked to spent more time there), and cooked dinner for the staff at Confrontation Point. All in all a good trip and a much needed break.

Software & Tennessee

Haven't been posting for quite a while because we're right in the middle of a release cycle for our online training tool. This past week wrapped up most of the code for the first beta. This weekend I'm headed to east Tennessee for a weekend of relaxation with our church young adult group. (posted from Clarkville, TN)

Garbanzo Potato Curry

Originally the Indian food last night was just supposed to be a simple pork curry using a premade sauce. Then I decided I wanted to make naan which gave me time for another curry. We also filled some of the naan with potatos and onions which was quite good (see the Naan recipe on this site for more info).

Garbanzo Potato Curry

1/2 onion diced

2 medium potatos diced

1 can garbanzo beans, drained

1 tbsp curry powder (it's better if you make your own, but I often use prepared)

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp allspice

1 tsp salt

1 cup water

1/2 cup peas

Sweat onions in a skillet then add potatoes and continue to cook over low heat. Add garbanzos and spices and stir to combine. Stir in water and cover and simmer over low heat until the garbanzos are soft. Stir in the peas and let cook until warm. Serve with rice and naan and enjoy.

So I've been meaning to get flickr working on my blog and I had a moment of distraction this morning so I decided to just get it done. So far this is an incredibly easy interface. More tools should work this way. Oh, and the photo is the start of the St. Louis Marathon that Sarah ran in a few weeks ago.
